Conduct an unbiased study on the dangers of Marijuana use and allow for the consideration of legalizing marijuana

Created by S.T. on November 13, 2012

Many states have already legalized medical marijuana, and Washington and Colorado voted to legalize marijuana for personal use. There have been studies not accepted by the government that show that marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol and tobacco. Legalizing, controlling, and taxing marijuana for people over 21 could help job growth, economical issues, and create a new, profitable industry in this country. It could also make way for law enforcement to enforce laws on more dangerous drugs. The Netherlands have nearly eliminated the cocaine trade within their country, and we could potentially do the same if we tried. Marijuana has been proven to not be as dangerous as many legal and regulated drugs. If we rethink our laws we could change many other countries views as well.
