In March, President Barack Obama performed his constitutional duty and nominated Judge Merrick Garland for a vacancy on the Supreme Court. By blocking Judge Garland from an up-or-down Senate vote, The Republican leaders in the Senate and on the Judiciary Committee refused to perform their constitutional duty, stating their desire to let the people- not the Electoral College- decide in November.
On November 8, Hillary Rodham Clinton earned more votes for president than Donald J. Trump. The people spoke and the Senate now must confirm Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court of The United States of America.
