Congress and the President must and in perpetuity, maintain a balanced budget each and every year.

We as American citizens must on a daily basis decide what we can or cannot buy, and maintain a good credit rating as well as pay our bills. We must maintain and manage a balanced budget, I feel it is not unreasonable to expect our Government to do the same. I do believe that through this petition, our duly elected government officials will understand that we expect the same fiscal behavior out of them that would be expected of us.
