Congress can trade stocks on insider knowledge

Created by E.S. on December 15, 2013

Congress has always been allowed to trade stocks on insider information. Insider trading for the general public is illegal. Congress has information that can affect a stock's price. Even their actions, by signing, vetoing, or introducing a bill, could have an affect on a stock's price. Let's change this so that there are not two sets of laws.Disallow congressional members and staff from trading on insider information. It is illegal for the general public.
