Currently, the State of Louisiana is flooded in the worst natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy, over four years ago. Meanwhile, President Obama is not in Washington, has not made any statements about the flooding, and has carried out no observable action since the storms tore through Louisiana, killing dozens, and leaving thousands of people without basic sustenance and homeless.
This is disgraceful, and is a vacuum of leadership.
Congress should have the authority to recall the sitting President to Washington to address major public concerns of this magnitude.
