Most Americans work 5 days a week, 365 days a year with the exception of some holidays and short vacation. We work hard and we expect results from workers.
Congress's working days have been decreasing over the last 10-20 years and will have the fewest working days in 60 years this year. The people suffering as a result are the citizens. We can't get things done because nobody is there to build trust and bi-partisan support. Not because the other side (whichever it is) is being unreasonable.
More time is spent making sure the other side will be blamed than on solutions. Everybody should work hard - five days a week. Or at least 5 days a week for even half of the year. 97 out of 365 isn't a work year.
