Congress participates in Social Security along with everyone else.

Created by J.C. on October 21, 2011

Congress (past, present and future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career that entitles them to create laws that affect everyone except legislators. Legislators are U.S. citizens, and should share in the wealth and burden of the Federal Governments retirement program, they are responsible for creating, with everyone else.

This will also provide Congress incentive to reform Social Security.
