"Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its best state is but a necessary evil..." -Thomas Paine
With the recent developments of proposing laws limiting the Second Amendment I want to broaden the stance against altering it by extending this belief to all 10 Amendments in the Bill of Rights.
In fear of the possibility of the government growing too strong, 2 states would not even join America in 1787 without the Bill of Rights. With that in mind why should we tolerate a country that wants to alter our fundamental, unalienable rights that is the cornerstone of our law of the land.
To alter the Bill of Rights is an act of tyranny that King George himself would be jealous of, and in a moment of hyperbole, certainly render what our Founding Fathers did for naught.
