Congress uphold the 14th amendment and give infant males the same protection under the law as infant females.

When female circumcision became illegal in 1997 it was a huge step in the right direction for human rights. However thousands of infant males every day are being denied those same rights to genital integrity. Myths about male circumcision have long been disproved and we now have a greater understanding of the risks to young lives this practice has. Every year 117 infant males will lost their lives to circumcision. The decision should be theirs and theirs alone to make. Since circumcision is now considered a cosmetic surgery in the medical community it should be illegal to practice on minors. Infant males deserve equal protection under the law. Make male genital mutilation illegal and uphold their consitional rights.
