Congress Voting for their own raise

Created by W.M. on January 01, 2013

Congress currently votes for their own raises. This is a conflict of interest, being that the government is For The People and By The People. We as American citizens have to rely on our peers to get a raise. Congress voting on their own raises is unfair, because their is no accountability. The American people are the peers of congress and the people should vote for congress to get a raise. As with any performance review, the people should be required to say why or why not a raise should be given. This will give the people the power they deserve and will help congress lead in the direction the people desire to be led.
