We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Congress, White House HBCU Initiative, US DOE, and OCR Investigate and Fix Dismantling/ Political Interference at HBCUs

Created by U.P. on November 06, 2016

We request immediate action by Congress, the Congressional HBCU Caucus, Congressional Black Caucus, White House Initiative on HBCUs, Office of Civil Rights, and Department of Education to investigate political interference, dismantling, mishandling at HBCUs at the hands of governors, state legislatures, and politically-driven Boards of Regents/Governors/Trustees. The education of thousands of minorities is at stake. Civil rights, ethics, and legal violations have occurred in order to stifle progress at HBCUs due to political, personal, business agendas. Further, we demand review of the forcing out of successful female HBCU president Elmira Mangum at FAMU and call for her reinstatement. We also request review of the forcing out of Drs. Boyd, Cole, Meyers, and Fuse-Hall at other HBCUs.
