We request immediate action by Congress, the Congressional HBCU Caucus, Congressional Black Caucus, the White House HBCU Initiative, the Office of Civil Rights, and the Dept. of Education to investigate and overturn the sexist, wrongful, unethical, unjustifiable removal of successful female President Elmira Mangum at Florida A&M University (FAMU). Documentation, observance, and research reveals that her removal was an attempt at the state level to impede progress and dismantle the success of the university. We believe her rights as a citizen and employee were violated, the law and policies were not followed, and that civil rights were denied.
