Congressional Amendment to Minimum Wage and Maximum Hours Standards to $10 per hour

Created by T.F. on September 09, 2012

We the People of the United States make an official request for Congressional Interventions to the Minimum Wage and Maximum Hours Standards Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, 1988 under Section 4(d)(1) of the FLSA from $7.25 per hour to $10.00 per hour.

Historical data found at the US Department of Labor website http://www.dol.gov/whd/minwage/coverage.htm indicates minimum wage has not increased since 2009 and the people are suffering the consequences.

Citizens have been forced into paying increased prices for: heat and electricity, food, gas and other day to day expenses necessary for survival, yet the federal standard for hourly wages have not increased since 2009.

We hereby demand the Fair Labor Standards Act change minimum wage requirements in US!
