Congressional budget limitations; link their pay to that of their constituency.

Created by D.H. on March 12, 2013

In light of Congress's inability to come to an agreement on how to manage their own accounting and a subsequent raise to their own pay, we the people feel that they are too financially irresponsible to control their own budget. We demand that Congressional and Senatorial pay be set to the financial average of their respective states with the option of salary alteration set to a popular vote coordinated with the election of new state legislature. State officials are chosen to represent and serve their constituency, not to profit off of them. We the people demand that the government remember that elected leadership is a position of service motivated by the desire to improve the lives of those around them.
