Congressional Reform Act of 2012

Created by K.B. on November 14, 2012

No tenure or pension for Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office & receives no pay
when they're out of office. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system. They participate with Americans & can purchase their own retirement plan, just as Americans do. They won’t vote themselves a pay raise. Their pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. They lose their current healthcare system, participate in the same system as Americans & must equally abide by all laws they impose on Americans. All contracts with past & present Congressmen/women are voided. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.
