Congressmen need to make less money annually, now.

Created by L.B. on March 11, 2015

Throughout my course of education I yet to meet a teacher who regrets their career. On average, Congressmen make $174,000 per year while families within the United States annually make $53,851. On average a full time High School teacher makes $58,170 over the course of a year. So a representative contracted by the people for the people makes over 200% more than the average American family!? How could we expect our nations infrastructure to be secure from the ground up when the very Men we elected are driven by money, not American interest. How can we expect change and respect for the common man when in a month the average Congressman makes $14,000. If drastic but modest salary cuts were made to Congress it would quickly produce a passionate & focused breed of representatives.
