As the 2nd Amendment was written to grant civilian militia the ability to fight against invasion, anyone who purchases a firearm should be immediately conscripted into a state or federally regulated civilian militia. That's why we have it. Granted, we are not in danger of being invaded by England, or even France anymore, but if that is the intent that James Madison had when he wrote the Bill of Rights, who are we to argue? After all, the Constitution never changes.
