Consent to an independent IHFFC investigation of the air strike on the Doctors Without Borders hospital in Kunduz.

Created by R.G. on October 09, 2015

Doctors Without Boarders (MSF) has called for a full, transparent, and independent investigation into the air strikes.

"The facts and circumstances of this attack must be investigated independently and impartially, particularly given the inconsistencies in the US and Afghan accounts of what happened... We cannot rely on only internal military investigations."

So far our country has committed to only an internal investigation.

The International Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission, established in the Geneva Convention, is the only permanent body set up specifically to investigate violations of international humanitarian law. MSF recognizes it as the appropriate body to independently investigate.
