It is time we, the people, no longer tolerate discrimination based on sexual orientation. And, this begins with legislators understanding the impact of their inordinately influential words and actions. Legislation that overtly or implicitly discriminates against LGBTQ peoples shall be illegal and hold heavy consequences. Congresspeople should be held accountable, and risk fines, impeachment and/or permanent removal from office.
