Consider an alternative gun control measure which uses pre-existing infrastructure to safeguard our rights.

In the interest of both keeping our nation safer from gun violence and safeguarding our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, We the People ask that The White House consider putting forth legislation which requires that all firearms, like vehicles, require both the posession and transfer of a title with each sale. Titling a weapon in the same manner one titles their vehicle presents a clear chain of custody, ensures the rightful collection of sales taxes, and would more easily allow for the tracking of weapons between owners for the purpose of keeping them, for the most part, out of the hands of those who are not legally or mentally competent to possess them.
