We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Consider Amending the Hate Crime Legislation to Specifically Address Hate Crimes by Law Enforcement

Created by N.M. on July 11, 2016

The people of the United States give law enforcement officers entrust the law enforcement officers that serve their community to act in a manner that is conducive to the safety of the general public while acting within the guidelines of the law. Although the majority of officers perform their jobs with that public trust at the forefront of their minds day to day, there are some who do not. When law enforcement officers abuse their power as enforcers of the law, they commit a crime that is beyond the confines of what an everyday citizen should be expected to know – they abuse their position to break the law and then use their position to justify their action. I present this proposition to investigate excessive force by a law enforcement as a special type of hate crime under federal law.
