To consider and seek the possibility of discontinuing Daylight Savings Time.

Created by J.H. on March 08, 2014

Daylight saving time occurs twice each year. Already Hawaii and Arizona (except for the Navajo Nation), American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands all decline to observe daylight saving time, according to the Department of Energy. There are multiple benefits to discontinuing the Spring and Fall time change that may include health, economical and socioeconomical.

The desired result of this petition would be the ending of Daylight Savings for practical reasons. For many people the change causes unneeded disruption in their daily lives. With this petition we ask for relevant research to be studied and a cost benefit analysis to act as the deciding factor as to if we discontinue or let remain Daylight Saving as it stands.
