By baseing the interest rate on the value of the home, the mortgage payment would be lowered and familie would have more disposable incomes to pay for other things which wourd boost the economy. Those whose homes are valued up to $200,000 would pay a 1% interest rate, $201,000 to $300,000 a 2% percent interest rate and so on. Let those who can afford a home valued at $700,00 to $1,000,000 or more pay the higher interest rate set by the Fed. Banks would not go out of business.
