Mr. President,
Recently I’ve followed the news and it appears you’re taking initiative to give clemency to many non-violent offenders who have equally fell victim to our rather unforgiving system. However, there’s others in our penal system such as Ronald L. Sanford who unfortunately committed crimes when they were so young they never understood the true magnitude of the consequence to their actions.
In 1989 Ronald L. Sanford, a 15 year old African American adolescent was sentenced to 170 years in prison for a crime committed with a friend when he was 13; a double homicide of two elderly sisters.
If one "googles" his name many stories and videos come up explaining his case. What he did was appalling but this man has already served 26 years many of us would agree are the best in life.
