consider with compassion the case of Dharun Ravi, who admittedly regrets his unintentional act & show leniency please

Created by L.K. on March 29, 2012

Show leniency in Dharun Ravi's court case ; admittedly he committed an unintentional poke in someone else's affair . But,the unfortunate fallout of the other's committing suicide is not to be treated as a direct effect by Dharun's act. By reversing the judgement by at least toning it down, a regretful and very young human being can be given a chance of redemption to rectify himself and lead an exemplary life. Indeed Jurors are human beings selected from the community and processing information from their prism and lens of understanding. They upheld the law. However, was justice served? Will it really change the consciousness of middle and high school children across the country & will Indian Americans become targets now? Are we prepared to deal with collectively?Mercy is the word
