Consider the creation of a national concealed carry permit system, similar to driver's licenses

I suggest the creation of a National Concealed Carry Permit, which would be honored in all 50 states, just as a driver's license is today, All applicants for a National Concealed Carry permit should go through a rigorous training program, as well as a thorough background check. Right now, CCW permits are issued on a state-by-state basis and requirements vary greatly. Standardizing the requirements will ensure all permit holders conform to the same standards, have the same training, and allow the user to not have to worry about ever changing reciprocity laws between states. The second amendment provides for the right to keep and BEAR arms. Being certain that this is done by properly trained and researched individuals would be addressed by a National CCW permit.
