To consider the day after the Super Bowl as a national day of rest and celebration.

Created by J.M. on February 03, 2014

Seldom in this day and age we find an occasion to which as many as 100 million Americans unite under a singular cause. Gathering to watch the NFL Super Bowl on a Sunday night- this is truly a uniquely American event. If this many Americans can come together for a singular cause to celebrate together, the day after should be recognized as a holiday. This would allow for Americans to return home from travel, and to discuss and revel in the results from the Super Bowl with friends and family.
There are too few non-partisan holidays that have the ability to bring together so many Americans, and this should be recognized, and celebrated.
