Consider Dog Killings by Cops in Justice Dept. investigation of Police intimidation of citizens of all colors and means.

Created by C.S. on December 04, 2014

Cops routinely shoot dogs belonging to citizens. Before cell phone cameras, cops claimed that they killed dogs to stop them from attacking. Those cops went unpunished. Now, with evidence on cell phone cameras, home security cameras and dash cams, many victims are suing in federal court when the evidence shows that the cops killed their dogs while they were running away or hiding. This petition asks the U.S. Justice Dept. to make dog killings, by cops, a part of their investigations into constitutional violations of police departments. Nothing is more intimidating than witnessing your dog being shot and killed by a cop. This tactic is used to scare and intimidate the dog owner. It is a taking of property without due process. It is a violation of our rights under the 5th Amendment.
