Often times in school students are required to read and extrapolate information/references from text. Quite often these text will contain references to the Bible. For individuals who have not lived in a Christian household and have not studied the Bible in depth it becomes difficult for them to catch all of the references made. This petition is asking the Obama Administration to consider laws that would make it so that teachers cannot assign students a grade for catching/understanding the religious references but instead focus on the overall historical and praiseworthy lessons that brought the book to the classroom.
