Consider establishing "assault" rifles as firearms regulated by the National Firearms Act (NFA).

Created by B.B. on December 20, 2012

"...well REGULATED..."

By establishing "assault" weapons as NFA firearms/items, you will get;

1. Registration. All NFA firearms/items sold, are trasnferred and regulated through the federal NFA registry.
It would prompt;
- Federal registration form
- Fingerprinting
- Photographs
- Signature from local Chief Law-Enforcement Officer
- $200 tax for each item.
- Futher background check
- Final approval by BATFE

2. Close the loop-holes. All NFA firearms/items must be transferred through FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealers. This will prevent the firearms/items to be sold through "gun show loop-holes", such as private sales, internet sales, ect...

3. Tax. Each firearm/item registered under under the NFA will be taxed. (Each time item is transferred to a new owner, the tax is required).
