consider the establishment of Amateur Submission Grappling Nat. Gov. Board in order to create a new Olympic Sport.

Created by A.B. on April 13, 2013

Recognition of the Amateur Submission Grappling Union (ASGU) as the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of submission grappling (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Military Combatives, Sambo, Judo, Jiu Jitsu), which is the purest form of mixed martial arts where grappling is emphasized and striking is prohibited. Athletes can win either by submission or points.
Competition takes place on the mat and not in a reinforced enclosure. The ASGU is in accordance with 36 USC § 220521 and § 220522. The ASGU requests the assistance of the White House in cooperation with the USOC to inform the appropriate international sports federation that the ASGU is the representative of the United States for the sport of submission grappling.
