consider federal judge Diane Humetewa for nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Created by S.B. on February 17, 2016

We the people request the nomination of Diane Humetewa, U.S. District Judge for the District of Arizona, to the Supreme Court of the United States. Nominating Humetewa to the SCOTUS would bring the first Native American justice to the highest court in the nation.
Judge Humetewa is a Hopi attorney with a long history of public and legal service. Nominated in 2007 by President George W. Bush as a U.S. Attorney, then in 2013 as a federal judge (confirmed in both positions), Humetewa is qualified, and her appointment as justice would be historic in a manner that should make Native Americans, and indeed, all Americans, proud.
President Obama, please nominate Judge Diane Humetewa to the Supreme Court of the United States.
