The Confederate flag is the flag of a foreign nation that was at war with the United States. The Confederacy systematically imprisoned, tortured and killed United States citizens as well as citizens of other nations, throughout its entire existence as a country. It's flag should not be flown over public buildings as it was a state that sponsored terror against United States Citizens.
