The idea of a flat tax has been presented by many politicians. They are generally the same plan, except for one small detail not taken into consideration. The illegally earned money, I.E. drug dealers, under the table Etc., will be taxed if this is implemented. Currently, individuals can earn and spend money that is completely under and off the radar screen, and untaxed, while legitimate, hardworking, honest people are taxed fully to compensate for the illegal exchanges. A flat tax would reach this undocumented money by taxing all purchases.
