What would the headlines have been this year, if individuals weren't allowed to own "lethal ammunition"? What if the only bullet you could own for home defense were rubber bullets?
This petition is a small step in gun safety and a giant leap in protecting the lives of innocent Americans from senseless acts of violence, without infringing upon citizens' second amendment rights to keep and bear arms. The fight to enact stricter gun control laws can seem like an exercise in futility, mainly because of our second amendment rights. This is a truth that we will have to live with for now, but in the meantime, while that battle is being waged we can still achieve a victory and reducing the lives lost due to guns by strictly regulating or banning the sale of "lethal ammunition" to citizens.
