Give all Military & Civilian personnel effected by the tragedy at Ft Hood the same consideration as that of personnel that have served in combat! All those who were wounded or died as a result of the shooting should be awarded the appropriate awards, I.E. "Purple Heart. To include all benefits that would be afforded to our military folks that have served in a combat area!
