With natural and man made disasters on the rise and the carnage witnessed by first responders every day I am asking for signatures agreeing that first responers with ten or more years of service be given full Veterans benifits.
First responders are only human and there is no secure safety net for them when their bodies and minds begin to weaken. Fire, Police and prehospital services often are exposed to carnage in its rawest form. These folks often put their lives on the line.
Please don't let their sacrifice and dedication fall by the wayside. I served twenty years and during that time I only was concerned with protecting my patients and their families. I finally met my fate in an explosion. I now deal with many physical and mental health issues. PLEASE HELP.
