Consider government and private industry to fund a trans-country high-speed rail system

America is sorely lacking in train travel. The country has become-hyper dependent on individual cars and planes, where high-speed trains have the potential to transport faster and more efficiently. With electromagnetic technology they also have the ability to conserve limited resources. Though the funding would be extreme to ask of the government alone, a government standard aligned with private industry taking part in the funding and construction have the ability to employ thousands of Americans and greatly improve American infrastructure.
