Immigrants have contributed greatly to our country's history, culture, and economy. However, there is no fairness in granting blanket amnesty to the many immigrants that chose to circumvent our laws, because this simply sends a message to that our laws do not matter and those that break them are able to gain a reward.
While it is undeniable the millions of illegal immigrants already here, do contribute to our nation, we cannot simply give them a pass because they are already here.
We propose to reform the immigration system with one that is fair to the millions of people who spend years and thousands of dollars to get here and does not excessively punish those that are already here illegally.
