Consider the impact before blindly banning anything in connection to the Sandy Hook Tragedy.

Created by R.K. on December 20, 2012

Mr. President and members of Congress. We ask only that all possible impacts or consequences be considered prior to banning anything in response to the Sandy Hook Tragedy. Had our Nation been gun free from the start then a ban of weapons would be appropriate and we would support it.
However firearms, magazines, and ammo have been integrated into our society for decades and unfortunately that does not mean only 'good' people have them.
If you were to ban 'assault' weapons, you would leave a void. The only one possessing such weapons would be the police, military, and criminals. I would be willing to assume that the criminals far out number police and military. That would leave a great number of law abiding citizens helpless.
Please take this into consideration. Thank You.
