consider implementing a 6 hour work day instead of 8. It will reduce unemployment, and improve citizen's quality of life

Created by C.C. on January 12, 2013

Will reduce unemployment because companies will run 2 x 6 hour shifts and employ twice as many people.

Workers will have more time enjoy life. Consumer spending will go up and the economy will start growing.

Imagine the following scenario and you will see why the above statement makes sense.

For example, John, making $10 per hour now, working full time, 40 hour week makes 400.

Could be working 30 hour week and making 300.

if 30 hours per week qualified people for health benefits and 401k a lot of people would like it.

Imagine the gov, instead of paying unemployment benefits, actually paying people to go to work.

Lets say the gov pays (or does't tax) $2 per hour to every worker. John would make $360. Almost as much as he did before, and he would have all that free time to go shoppi
