Jimmy Buffett, the American singer, song writer, author, actor, philanthropist, conservationist, entrepreneur and leader of the Parrothead Nation, should be bestowed the honor of the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his lifetime of charity and work in many fields. Over the past 50 years, he has entertained millions, fought for various worthy causes and given countless working stiffs the fantasy that one day, they too might be able to live his unbelievable lifestyle. We hope that when this honor is bestowed upon him, the president will join Jimmy in wearing a comfortable pair of flip-flops to the ceremony, nothing else would be more fitting or acceptable.
