In a recent poll performed by Gallop.com, more people are in favor of legalizing marijuana use than not. Also the petition titled “legalize and regulate marijuana in a manner similar to alcohol” is the most popularly signed petition by 19,000 signatures, currently with more than 59,000 and growing every day. These two items should show our Government that the American people are ready for Marijuana to be legalized.
Marijuana legalization could help to stimulate the economy by putting farmers to work (creating a domestic source), and dispensaries could be opened putting people to work.
As elected officials you are supposed to do what the people want, and I think the people have spoken. Please explain why you are not giving the people what they have demonstrated that they want.
