Consider my plan to lower our carbon footprint and reduce the number of motor vehicle collisions.

I had an idea years ago that i believe could make a big impact on driver communication, and in doing so greatly reduce the number of rear end automobile collisions as well as all the tragedy and traffic that come with them.My idea is simply a yellow or "Eco" light located in the rear of the vehicle.This light will indicate to the driver behind you that you are no longer accelerating and to anticipate a break or directional signal.In doing so a safer distance will be maintained between vehicles and will reduce or eliminate unnecessary braking increasing driving efficiency. There are millions of accidents annually although I believe that number could be cut by 20%. Thats 20% less collisions plus the savings of fuel not being burned by vehicles stuck in traffic.
