Many states are losing out on quality educators because their current district pay scale is so low. To bridge the gap between high performing states and low performing states, it is important to be able to sway good educators to stay in the state in which they are getting their degree. This national standard will also attract more, high level thinkers to the profession which may lead to increased performance in schools.
