I have been reading and learning about Ebola and have a few ideas on prevention and calming public fears. Air travel is integral to the economies of the world, but the U.S. government has a responsibility to protect its citizens and their health. I suggest temporarily banning all flights from West Africa and any other country greatly affected by the disease to help diminish the worldwide exposure. Also I suggest the CDC mandate the 21 day quarantine and have it apply to all states, not only the few that have passed this law. Health professionals, who work in the U.S., should be required to receive extensive training on how to treat and handle Ebola patients. They will then better understand how to properly and safely handle these situations without contracting the disease.
