Consider Pardoning Marissa Alexander for the excessive and unfair sentencing for the discharge of a gun in Florida.

Created by G.M. on July 15, 2013

Marrisa Alexander a Florida resident received a 20 year sentence for discharge of a gun in her home. She was being threatened by an abusive husband and was is fear of the lives of her and her children. Ms. Alexander used the "Stand Your Ground Law" in her defense, but it was rejected and she was found guilty.
This is the same Florida that acquitted George Zimmerman of 2nd degree Murder for killing an unarmed 17 year old.
There appears to a glaring double standard here. A Black woman shoots gun in air and kills no one and is sentenced to 20 years in prison and A Caucasian male shoots a Black teenager and goes free.
Therefore I think that with your power to pardon Ms. Alexander deserves a second chance.
