The 2012 Presidential Election demonstrated that America wants progress and continued change in our political environment. They want equality for homosexuals, increased access to healthcare and for the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share of taxes. This mandate was demonstrated by the overwhelming victory of President Obama.
A portion of the electorate was not happy with this outcome. They have, in fact, submitted petitions to this website seeking to have President Obama consider their states secession from the Union. The fact that President Obama initiated this petition process during his first term is completely lost on them.
I would like President Obama to consider something as well: that these people are ridiculous. Hopefully, this is good for at least one chuckle.
