Currently individuals are permitted to brew beer or produce wine up to 100 gallons per adult up to a maximum of 200 gallons per year. I petition that the same liberty be given to distillation of alcohol for private consumption. The argument has been made that it is too dangerous but I contend that the process is no more dangerous than deep frying a turkey or cooking on your gas grill so long as proper precautions are taken.
