Many recent articles have laid out America's lack of high speed internet compared to other first world countries. China, Germany, and even New Zealand have generally faster speeds than Americans have access to.

It is time for this to end! The United States government should encourage the construction of fiber optic lines so that all citizens have access to the high speed capabilities our competitors possess.
